KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two men face robbery and armed criminal action charges for their alleged involvement in a crime spree that spanned three separate businesses. Police said it all started Wednesday at Poncho's Mexican Foods in Kansas City, Mo.
Currently, prosecutors have charged 18-year-old Mishawn Coleman and 20-year-old Arlando Cody with robbery and armed criminal action. Police located a third suspect, a woman, would may also face charges. Police said the three not only stole money from Poncho's register but from a tip jar, too.
Police said the robbers didn't stop there. Forty-five minutes later, police said they robbed a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Independence Avenue in Kansas City. While police were on their way, the trio is suspected of robbing the Church's Chicken located at Linwood and Gilham in Kansas City.
Detectives said they're also investigating two other robberies from Tuesday night that may have been committed by the same group.
