Metro Man Admits Bilking Charities for Slot Machine Money
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A metro man pleaded guilty on Thursday to fraud and identity theft after he stole more than $100,000 from the two charities that he directed.
Sean Patrick Taylor, 52, was the former executive director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri and another non-profit group called Westport Cooperative Services.
According to prosecutors, Taylor admitted stealing at least $100,000 from the charities between April of 2007 and May of 2010, and that most of that money went into the slot machines at the Prairie Band Casino in Mayetta, Kansas.
