Gabrielle Giffords Announces Plans to Resign in YouTube Video

U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords announced her plans to step down from Congress in a YouTube video that’s both heart-wrenching and inspiring.

In her announcement, Giffords said she doesn’t remember much from the January 2011 shooting when a gunman shot her in the head, but she vows to return after working to further her recovery.
