Bike Sharing Coming to KC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s not quite a free ride, but it’s the next best thing.
Kansas City, Missouri will soon be joining the list of cities across the nation with bike sharing. The program, which is being helped by Blue Cross and Blue Shied of Kansas City, will place racks of bikes for rent at places around Kansas City.
People will be able to rent the bikes with a credit card.
“Ride the bike two-four blocks, wherever your destination is, check it in when done. Check out another bike and ride it back,” said Ty Henson of Bike/Walk KC.
The plan calls for 200 bikes to spread across 20 stations from the River Market to Crown Center.
