High School Brings Homecoming Rally to Student Battling Cancer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kristen Wheeler is battling a rare form of cancer, and hasn’t been able to attend school in a while. So, her high school decided to bring their homecoming pep rally to her.

On Friday, the 15-year-old was stunned to find the Lutheran High School band, cheerleaders, friends and even her school principal out on her front lawn.

And she says that it all turned out to be one of the best nights she has had in a long while.
