Illnesses Force Missouri School District to Close Doors
GALLATIN, Mo. — Classes in the Gallatin R-5 School District will not be in session on Friday as the district grapples with an outbreak of illnesses.
According to the district, which was also closed on Thursday, the widespread sickness has caused numerous student and teacher absences this week.
District officials say that parents should make sure that their children have been fever-free for at least 24 hours before allowing them to return to school.
There is no word on the nature of the illnesses. Classes are set to resume on Monday.
