Basketball Players Benched & Arrested for Stealing Snacks

PINETOPS, North Carolina — Nine members of a high school basketball team are in trouble with the law. The North Carolina high school students have been arrested and charged with breaking and entering.

The students are accused of stealing drinks and candy from a school concession stand. The students also face suspension from school as well as criminal charges.

Police say the teens used a key to get into the concession stand. The 16 and 17-year-old students took Snickers and Gatorade.

The nine players involved have also been removed from the team.
