Dog Saves Owner from Drowning
LAMPASAS, Tex. — A Texas pastor is glad to be alive thanks to his dog! Pastor Ray McCoy says his service dog, Excalibur saved him from drowning.
McCoy suffers from a disease that causes tumors to grow in his spinal cord. At times, if he leans the wrong way the tumors can press up against his spinal cord which causes him to pass out.
The pastor says that happened to him recently and Excalibur came to the rescue!
“The water was filling up and I remember falling and the next thing I remember is Excalibur has my ankle and he’s pulling me out of the tub,” McCoy said.
Once the pastor regained consciousness, the dog brought him his cell phone to call for help.
McCoy says the dog used to be afraid of water because he was rescued from a situation where he was constantly sprayed with a water hose.
