KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Some metro kids are helping others one shoe at a time. Seventh graders at St. Peter’s School in Kansas City collected shoes for a service project during Catholic Schools Weekend in January.

People donated 1,000 pairs of new and gently worn shoes. The students donated all of the shoes to Operation Breakthrough.

Operation Breakthrough will distribute the shoes to hundreds of people in need of shoes.
