GLADSTONE, Mo -- The North Kansas City School District confirmed Wednesday afternoon that they have received reports of two separate stranger danger incidents in their area.
One student from Oak Park High School said the man circled the block after she got off of her school bus. She then ran home and told her dad. About 30 minutes later, the stranger tried to get a student from Northgate Middle School to get in his car. He drove off when she ran to a nearby home.
Parents in the area say they aren't comfortable knowing someone is trying to approach kids.
"I'm a little threatened by it," said Chris Shubert, parent. "I live up here because it's a safe place to raise kids, and it doesn't seem safe anymore."
The suspect is described as an African American male around 20 years old with an afro. He was wearing a white tank top at the time of the incidents and was driving an older model white car with some damage.
Police have stepped up patrol in these areas. If you have any information on these incidents, call Gladstone police at (816) 436-3550.
