KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A controversial video showing a Russian woman swinging babies over her head and flipping them in front of her “for their health” has popped up again on the internet, shocking viewers and leaving them hoping it was all a hoax.
Last year, the BBC uncovered the real story behind the video — a Russian woman named Elena Fokina was demonstrating “dynamic baby gymnastics” that she claims calms the babies and helps them be more aware of their surroundings. YouTube blocked the video last year for being too shocking, BBC News reported.
Now, another video has surfaced, shot by media company Barcroft Media.
The video is, of course, catching the attention of medical professionals who are warning parents to stay away from the practice. When the video first came to light last year, Dr. Manny Alvarez with FOX News implored parents, “I’m begging you, please don’t try this at home.”
