Students Give Back for Earth Day

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Earth Day is Sunday, April 22nd. On Saturday, dozens of metro kids showed mother Earth some love at Pierson Park in KCK.

The students are aspiring teachers, biologist, veterinarians and doctors. They spend their free time giving back.

David Maricle is 18-years-old and it's his senior year. He joined more than 150 middle and high school students lending a hand on Global Youth Service Day. Saturday, the students cleaned up parks, planted seeds and more.
