Plane Crash Kills Three in Kansas

CHANUTE, Kan. — Three people are dead and two others are in critical condition after a twin engine plane crashed just west of Chanute, Kansas.

The twin-engine plane crashed after 4:30 p.m. and Wilson County, Kansas authorities rushed to the field at 1800 Road and Thomas Road east of Highway 75.

The flight reportedly originated from Tulsa, Okla.

Firefighters worked until about 8:00 p.m. to control a fire in the wreckage.

The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The two injured were transported to hospitals in critical condition.
