Video of Cab Driver Robbery Suspects

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are asking the public to look at the pictures of two men suspected of robbing a cab driver last month in Midtown Kansas City.

The robbery happened May 22 at about 10:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Maple. The cab driver was getting into his car when two men approached him with guns and ordered him to lay on the ground.

They went through his pockets and robbed him of about $200.

According to police, the victim spotted the men a few days after the robbery at a nearby gas station. Police obtained the surveillance video from the gas station.

The two suspects are described as black males in their late teens to early 20s with short hair.

The first suspect is about 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches. In the video, he was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing, khaki shorts and white and black shoes. He weighed 180 to 200 pounds.

The second suspect is between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He weighed about 165 to 180 pounds. He is seen in the video wearing a red long-sleeved shirt with a white shirt under it, black pants and black shoes.

There is a third person in the video, but he is not a suspect, although police believe he may know about the crime.
