Kansas Filmmakers Challenge Christian Stereotypes
WICHITA, Kan. — Two Kansas filmmakers are packing up for an adventure with a purpose.
Jonathan Flesher and Brett Wickham are embarking on a cross-country tour, from East Coast to West Coast. Along the way, they’ll shoot a documentary and are determined to make life better for the people they meet.
“To serve others it really takes being humble, and it takes valuing the lives and well-being of others as well,” Flesher says. ”A lot of people are confused possibly about what it means to be a Christian any more.”
Wickham adds, “There are those who do live as Christ, and there is a great example out there. It’s not all the negatives you think of–the Bible thumpers, the people who are preaching fire and brimstone on the street corners.”
