St. Louis Hugging Bandit Sought by Police

ST. LOUIS — Police in St. Louis are looking for a man who has been hugging women.

According to KMOX Radio, the man has approached several women and claims they are long-lost friends. He then says he is from their old neighborhood. After talking for a brief amount of time, the man says it’s his birthday and asks for a hug.

Similar incidents have happened at several Schnucks grocery stores over the past several days. When it happened at a Schnucks in Fairview Heights, Ill., the woman called police.

Police said the man is a white male in his 30s or 40s, 5’6″, weighing 170 lbs. They believe he’s driving a silver Nissan sedan.
