Two Platte County Girls Seek Adventure, Get Reported Missing

PARKVILLE, Mo. — Overly adventurous. That’s what has two tween girls in trouble with their parents.

Hiya Anderson and Selah McClure, ages 12 and 10, were reported missing Wednesday afternoon, but were located later Wednesday night. However, the girls never considered themselves missing. They were just playing at a playground.

The manager for the apartment complex where the girls live in Parkville said the two ventured off and walked two or more miles to downtown Parkville to play at a playground. After playing they returned home on their own — after dark.
