Robber Couldn’t Drive Stick Shift, So Victim Did
ST. LOUIS — Unable to operate a stick shift, one robber lucked out when his victim offered to give him a ride.
According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, a man was sitting in his car in a St. Louis University parking lot on Sunday night when he was approached by another man with a gun. The robber demanded money and ordered the victim to move to the passenger seat. But when the robber tried to drive off, he couldn’t operate the manual transmission. Luckily, his victim could.
After giving the robber $24, the victim also gave the robber a ride and received a “thank you” when the robber got out.
Police continue their investigation.
