Drowning Prevention: Most Drowning Victims Never Cry For Help

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man drowned and a child nearly drowned in separate incidents in Johnson County last Friday.
Every day in America, at least 10 people drown.  There are also many tragic brain injuries from near-drownings.
And the numbers go up on a holiday.
FOX 4 Medical Reporter Meryl Lin McKean talked with Kathy Edwards of the American Red Cross about how drownings can be prevented.
