Boy Loses His Leg After Lawnmower Mutilation

FREDRICKSBURG, Va. — A nine-year-old Virginia boy and his family are trying to look forward and deal with their new reality, after Jeremy Kingbeil had to have his leg amputated because of a lawnmower accident.

Jeremy was helping his brother with his lawn mowing business when his foot got caught in the blade of one of the mowers.

“This wasn’t slow motion–it happened so quick,” said his father Rick Klingbeil.

WTVR’s Catie Beck met with Jeremy and his father to share their story, so others will know to be especially cautious.
