Two Metro Walmarts Evacuated Following Bomb Threats
RAYTOWN, Mo. — Authorities have evacuated Walmart stores in Raytown and Gladstone after someone called in a bomb threat on Friday evening.
The evacuations come among a number of reported bomb threats and evacuations at Walmart stores across the state of Missouri, including in Nixa, Ozark, St. Peters, Piedmont and Jefferson City. There is no word if the incidents are related.
According to authorities, someone called the threat to the Raytown Walmart on 350 Highway around 6:00 p.m., prompting the evacuation of the store.
Authorities then evacuated the Walmart at 7207 N. Missouri 1 Highway in Gladstone following another bomb threat around 6:45 p.m.
