Tweens and Teens Need Vaccines, Too

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Little ones starting kindergarten aren’t the only ones needing vaccinations.   Doctors recommend tweens and teens get vaccinated against four diseases:  whooping cough (pertussis), human papillomavirus, meningitis and flu.

FOX 4 Medical Reporter Meryl Lin McKean talked with Dr. Jennifer Mellick, a pediatrician in Overland Park, about the reasons kids should get those shots.
