KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Emergency crews ordered the evacuation of three metro-area Walmart stores Friday afternoon because of bomb threats.

The stores that received the threats are located in Raytown,  The Legends in Kansas City, Kan. and near Liberty, Mo. on 152 Highway.

Less than an hour after the evacuation at the Kansas City, Kan., store, customers were allowed back in. Customers were allowed back in to the Liberty Walmart around 4:00 p.m.

Because of the tax-free weekend in Missouri, Walmart stores expected bigger crowds.

Last week, about a dozen Missouri and Kansas Walmart stores received bomb threats but no device was discovered at any of them.
