Dozens Witness Man’s Murder in Northeast KCMO
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police have released the name of a man who was shot and killed on Saturday night in front of a group of witnesses, many of them kids. Investigators are trying to figure out who is responsible for the death of Donald Bierria, 20, of Kansas City, Mo.
Witnesses say Bierria was talking to a group of kids on a porch at a house at 5th and Quincy in Kansas City’s Northeast neighborhood. It was about 8:00 p.m., when a man walked by, approached the group and fired two shots, hitting the victim in the chest.
Dozens of people were in the area when it happened and police spent the evening questioning them about what they saw.
“I’m scared. I want to leave. I want to move,” said one witness. “Because everyone was witnesses,” she said.
Bierria was transported to the hospital but died from his wounds.
