Early-Morning Fire Destroys Clay County Home

LIBERTY, Mo. — A Clay County family was left homeless following an overnight fire that destroyed their home.

The blaze broke out around 1:40 a.m. in the home in the 9200 block of Dry Dock Drive in unincorporated Clay County. There were no injuries, but the home was completely destroyed in the blaze.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family of four with food, clothing and shelter. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
