Independent Swag Fashion Show

The Halo Foundation will present the Independent Swag Fashion Show Friday night at Arts Tech in Kansas City. Donovan is a participating youth who will assist with the fashion show. The kids in the program are local youth who are homeless or in foster care.

The fashion show will be in two parts. The first half of the show will be clothing, jewelry and accessories provided by ShopGirls (the boys will be wearing there favorite sports team from Kansas City). The second part of the show will be the kids modeling the projects that they will have completed this week in a wonderful “fashion camp” with Project Runway season eight contestant, Valerie Mayen, who has come from Cincinnati to teach a workshop with the youth.

The Independent Swag Fashion Show is at 7 p.m. Friday at Arts Tech, located at 1522 Holmes in Kansas City. Tickets are $3 to stand and $5 to sit.
