KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has ordered the recall of a popular brand of baby seat after a number of children suffered fractured skulls after falling out of the chair.

The recall order affects over 4 million of the Bumbo Baby Seats. According to the CPSC, at least 84 babies have fallen out of the Bumbo Seats, and 21 of those babies suffered fractured skulls as a result.

According to the recall, most of the babies who fell from the chairs fell when the chair was placed on a raised surface – something parents are warned specifically not to do in the Bumbo instructional video.
