Enrollment Underway for Citizens’ Police Academy

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. — Ever wonder what it’s like to be a police officer? You can find out by taking part in the Citizens’ Police Academy. The Lenexa Police Department and Merriam Police Department are gearing up for the next session and looking for participants.

In Lenexa, the classes start Aug. 29 and run through Nov. 14. The class meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9 p.m.

In Merriam, classes start on Sept. 11 and run through Nov. 13. Classes are held on Tuesday nights.
