OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma school is taking school spirit to a new level. Shannon Barton says her 5-year-old son was asked to turn his t-shirt inside out because he broke the rules by wearing a Michigan shirt.

Students in the Oklahoma City Public School District are banned from wearing anything other than Oklahoma college apparel.

“He said they made him turn it inside out because it said Michigan. He was a little embarrassed,” Barton said.

The Anti-Gang Tasked helped create the dress code in 2005. The policy is now being reviewed.
