Nevada Secretary of State Wins MMA Fight

LAS VEGAS — Nevada’s Secretary of State stepped out of his usual role to go after his dreams. Ross Miller took part in an amateur MMA or Mixed Martial Arts Competition over the weekend.

NMiller, 36, says it’s something he’s always wanted to do.

“We exchanged pretty heavily, and fortunately, I caught him with a couple of punches and a body kick, and then finished with a little ground it down, and finished with my hand up in the air at the end of the night. So it all worked out well,” he said.

Miller won this weekend’s fight but says he doesn’t plan on fighting on a regular basis. He’s throwing in the towel so he can retire undefeated.
