One Dead After Mobile Home Fire
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A mobile home fire has turned deadly in Kansas City, Kan. Crews were called to the area of S. 75th Terr. & Swartz on Tuesday evening.
The fire started around 9 p.m. Neighbors tell FOX 4 they saw flames shooting through the roof of the building. KCK Police say fire crews arrived on the scene two minutes after the call was dispatched.
The assistant fire chief says a mobile home fire is like a hot box with the metal frame keeping all the heat inside making it hard to escape.
The victim is a man in his 50s. His name has not been released.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
