Grass Fire Closes Highway in Harrisonville

CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Another grass fire spread rapidly Wednesday afternoon on the grounds of the Harrisonville Airport, forcing 71 Highway to close down in both directions at 7 Highway as firefighters tried to contain it.

The fire was first reported at about 3:30 p.m. and crews continued to fight it during the rush hour at 5 p.m.
