One Dead in Early-Morning Double Shooting

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — One man is dead following an early-morning shooting in Kansas City, Kan.

Police said neighbors called 911 after they heard gun shots around 4:30 a.m. When police arrived they found one man, a resident of the home, in the front yard. He was taken to an area hospital, but the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

Police located another man, in his twenties, in a bedroom of the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the suspect is unknown at this time and added they don’t think the incident was a random shooting. They continue to talk to neighbors and the man who was taken to the hospital.

Neighbors said a woman lived in the home with her daughter and her grandson.

No other information is known at this time.
