FOX 4 Cost Cutters: 8/29 Grocery List

Grocery Sales

Buying groceries to feed your family can take a huge chunk of your budget.  There are ways to ease that burden.  Stacking coupons on top of sales at stores will help you stretch your budget.  This is a list of the groceries I’m buying this week.  For a look at the other deals available, click here or here.  Remember, Wal-Mart will price match many items.

Now here’s what I’m buying this week:

Hy-Vee

  • Sweet Ripe Kandy Cantaloupe — $0.99 each (Buying 2)
  • Dole Broccoli — $1.68 each (Buying 2)
  • Family Size Doritos — $2.99 (Buying 2)
  • Hy-Vee Dip — $0.77 (Buying 2)
  • Lay’s Potato chips — $1.77 (Buying 2)

$4 off 4 General Mills Cereals with in ad coupon.  Plus you’ll get a $4 coupon to use of your next trip.  (Click here to search for a list of possible coupons to use)

  • Buying 4 boxes

Get $10 Coupon when you buy 10 participating Kraft products: (I will have a $10 coupon to use on my next trip after I buy these items)

Price Chopper

  • Family Pack 80% Ground Beef — $1.97/lb. (Buying as close to 4 lbs. as possible)
  • Grapes — $1.47/lb (Buying 3 lbs.)
  • Lay’s Potato Chips — $1.77 (Buying 2)
  • KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce — $0.77 (Buying 2)
  • Nabisco Snack Crackers — $1.47, Use $1/2 printable — Final Price $0.72 each (Buying 4)

5 Day Cookout Sale (8/30-9/3)

  • Johnsonville Smoked Brats, $1.99 (Use $1/1 printable, if included or $1/2 printable)  Final Price — As low as $0.99, if item is included (Buying 2)
  • Peaches & Cream Sweet Corn, $0.25 each (Buying 8)
  • Price Chopper Hamburger or Hot Dog Buns, $0.69 (Buying 2)
  • Libby’s Vegetables 4/$3 (Use $1/4 from 8/26 RP)  Final Price $0.50 each (Buying 8) *These are cheaper at Hen House, if you have one close or are price matching at Wal-Mart

Aldi

  • Eggs, $0.89 — Buying 2

Final Total — $64.67 plus the cost of cereal (and you’ll have $14 to use on your next trip to Hy-Vee)
