Water Main Breaks Keep Crews Busy

INDEPENDENCE — The Independence Water Department continues to work on several water main breaks across the city. The biggest break was near R.D. Mize Road and East Eureka on Saturday afternoon.

Water was shooting at least 20 feet in the air. Spokesperson Dan Montgomery said crews hope to have the break under control by 6 p.m.

The city is also working on several smaller breaks.
