Clinton Makes Strong Case for Obama
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former President Bill Clinton spoke to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. Clinton spent most of the speech highlighting the pros of the Democrats and the cons of the Republicans.
Clinton said he likes that Obama is “cool on the inside and burns for America” on the inside.
The former president said although Democrats have held the presidential office fewer times than Republicans, Democrats have made more progress. He also touched on topics such as the economy, student loans, immigration and health care.
Clinton also said if you want someone with the philosophy of “your on your own”, you should go with Republicans because Democrats have the attitude of “we’re in this together.”
The funniest moment of Clinton’s speech was when he made a reference to the First Lady’s speech on Tuesday night. Clinton said, “I’d like to nominate a man who was smart enough to marry Michelle Obama.”
