Stem Cell Therapy Study to Prevent Amputations Underway in KC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Stem cells hold great promise for treating and curing disease. A Kansas City woman is the first in our area to enroll in a study of stem cell therapy for severe vascular disease in the legs.
FOX 4 Medical Reporter Meryl Lin McKean says the hope is that the therapy using the patient’s own stem cells will prevent amputations.
For details of the study at St. Luke’s Hospital, call 816-932-4828.
