Woman Survives Ride on Hood of SUV

DULUTH, Ga. — A Georgia man is behind bars after driving along a busy highway with his girlfriend on the hood of his SUV. Witnesses say the driver was doing about 80 miles an hour.

Several drivers called 911 after seeing the woman banging on the front window of the SUV. One witness said he knew he had to help the woman to safety.

After several miles, the witness says four different cars blocked the driver in. Police arrived shortly after and arrested the driver, 29-year-old Jonathan Salas.

Salas faces several charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The woman was not hurt.
