Woman Has Life-Threatening Injuries After Fire

RAYTOWN, Mo. — A woman is recovering from injuries she sustained during a house fire. Raytown Fire crews were called to a fire near 68th & Vermont on Saturday morning.

When crews arrived, smoke and fire could be seen coming through the roof of the home. Firefighters began to search for people living at the home and found a female victim in a bedroom. Crews were able to get her out of the home safely and she was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Two other people who live at the home were not there at the time of the fire. They are safe.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
