Student Who Says Teacher Ridiculed Her Romney T-Shirt Returns to School
PHILADELPHIA — A high school student who claims a math teacher ridiculed her for wearing a Mitt Romney T-shirt returned to school for the first time on Tuesday since the September 28 incident.
The teacher, Lynette Gaymon, also returned but she and Samantha Pawlucy didn’t talk or interact.
Gaymon read a letter during several school assemblies, expressing regret for the remark that she says was meant to be light and humorous.
Pawlucy, a sophomore, says the Charles Carroll High School teacher went too far.
“She took a red marker, tried to draw on it and then told me to take off my shirt and she would give me a different one,” said Pawlucy.
Pawlucy didn’t stay long at the school, saying she felt uncomfortable. Click here to read more about what she did during her brief time at the school.
