Oak Grove Man Killed while Walking Across I-70

OAK GROVE, Mo. — An Oak Grove, Mo. man was killed on Interstate 70 early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jubar Jones, 30, was hit by an oncoming car. The related police report says Jones was walking across the interstate near Oak Grove when he was hit and killed. The accident happened at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by a Jackson County medical examiner.

The police report says the oncoming car was driven by Larry D. Roberts, 69, of Ashland, Ky. No arrest was made in the incident.
