KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation wants drivers to remember that we are now in the peak mating season for deer.

That means deer are moving around even more than usual, and that movement will lead to more deer-vehicle collisions.

Mating season is now through November. Drivers should be especially alert around dawn and dusk and while traveling in rural areas.
