Missouri Child’s Death Ruled to be Homicide

HOLT, Mo. — Authorities in Clinton County are investigating after a child was found unresponsive and later died earlier this week.

According to police, a Clinton County ambulance was sent to a home in Holt on Monday due to an unresponsive 4-year-old boy. The child was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say that an autopsy revealed that the child’s cause of death was blunt-force trauma.

The Northwest Major Case Squad has been activated, and are treating the case as a homicide.
