Gun Inside Purse Discharges at Grocery Store

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A very loud boom caused some nervous moments for grocery shoppers in Brookside on Wednesday morning.

According to witnesses, a woman dropped her purse with a loaded gun inside at the Cosentino’s Market in Brookside around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The gun discharged, putting a 3-inch hole through one of the store’s windows.

There were no injuries in the incident. Neither the store nor police have issued any comment on the incident.
