Child Hit in Drive-by Shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people were hit by gunfire Saturday night in the area of 25th and Denver in what police believe was a drive-by shooting. One of them was a child, possibly only 6 or 7 years old, according to police.

The child is in critical condition and the adult in stable.

The shooting happened at about 9 p.m.

Police say they have a vague vehicle description of a car, possibly tan, in the area before the shooting.
