Leavenworth Jail Inmate Captured

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, Kan. — Authorities said Monday that they arrested the man who escaped from Leavenworth County jail Saturday afternoon.

Law enforcement told FOX 4 Raheem K. Armstead, 29, walked away from the jail around 1 p.m.

Armstead was located at about 11 a.m. on Monday, still in Leavenworth, in the 700 block of 13th Terrace.

A person at the residence was also taken into custody and charges could be filed against him.
