KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Rifle Association has launched an iPhone app allowing users to reenact practicing at a shooting range.

The app is recommended for anyone ages 4 and up.

The app touts itself as the “the NRA’s new mobile nerve center, delivering one-touch access to the NRA network of news, laws, facts, knowledge, safety tips, educational materials and online resources,” according to its description in iTunes.

“NRA: Practice Range” is currently available for free. Users can upgrade their guns for $.99.

According to its description, “NRA: Practice Range also offers a 3D shooting game that instills safe and responsible ownership through fun challenges and realistic simulations.”

“It strikes the right balance of gaming and safety education, allowing you to enjoy the most authentic experience possible.”

Screenshots show target practice, which include coffins.

The launch follows the school shooting in Connecticut last month and President Obama’s investigation into gun control.
