UPDATE: Independence Woman Reported Missing Has Been Found, Safe

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Police were looking for Joanne C. Eakin, 78, on Saturday after she left Harrah’s casino and never showed up in Overland Park later that afternoon.

According to authorities on Sunday, Eakin has been found safe. There were no other details about what might have happened.

Police were expected to release other details late Sunday.
