KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Want in on a weight loss secret? It isn't just how much you eat and exercise that matters. New research shows when you eat your biggest meal of the day is also key to weight loss success.
The study published in the International Journal of Obesity looked at more than 400 Spanish men and women in a 20-week weight loss program. Those who had their main meal before 3 p.m. lost about 25 percent more weight than those who had it later.
That was even though the early eaters were downing about the same number of calories as the late eaters.
