KCPD Officer Shawnie Nix to be Honored at KC Celebration

On Friday Feb. 1, female athletes from across the country will gather in Kansas City to celebrate the achievements of women who empower others through sports and fitness. The WIN for KC Celebration is the largest event of its kind. Each year, a handful of local women are picked to receive awards for their skill, involvement, and dedication to sports. Shawnie Nix is one of the six rock star women to be honored.
